What the college says
3 components: Principles Examination, Problem Solving in Design Engineering and Iterative Design Project. The course requires students to analyse existing products, demonstrate their technical knowledge of materials, be familiar with product functionality, manufacturing processes and techniques, and demonstrate their understanding of wider social, moral and environmental issues that impact on the design and manufacturing industries.
What you need to get on
Minimum requirement for Level 3 study is required. In addition a grade 6 in mathematics would be an advantage. Advantageous for students to have studied Design and Technology.
How you are assessed
Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
