p This qualification will develop your current skills and introduce you to new areas of dance. The course aims to develop the artistic creative technical and professional skills that a dancer needs in order to prepare for further vocational training. The course offers you a breadth of styles and approaches including contemporary jazz ballet choreography and physical theatre. There is a positive and supportive learning environment and a strong practical focus. /p
What you need to get on
p You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3 or above. Some dance experience is essential before starting the course. You will be required to attend an audition and prepare a solo for performance to ensure the course will meet your needs. /p p Upon assessment you will be required to attend Maths and English classes if you achieved a 3 or below in GCSE. /p
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
