This course provides you with the opportunity to explore, develop and test your creativity within media, developing your base of skills and knowledge, while enhancing your self-confidence and revealing the potential career demands and opportunities within the sector. You will cover topics including creative media methods and skills, audio and visual production and technology and a personal project and presentation in creative media production.

What you need to get on

Four GCSEs grade 9-2 and a satisfactory school reference. Including English Language at grade 2 and maths at grade 2 as a minimum. You will also need to show an art portfolio, containing recent examples of creative work you have done.

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
