What the college says

Mathematical ability is a very valuable asset – if you have some, make the most of it! Maths is so important; the Government wants most students to study it until they are 18. Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) is a qualification designed for students who have achieved a grade 4 or above at GCSE and who are not taking A-level Maths. Studying Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) will help develop students’ mathematical skills and thinking and supports courses such as Psychology, Sociology, Sciences, Geography, IT, Business Studies and Economics. It also helps students explore and understand real life mathematics like loans, taxes, interest rates and mortgages.
