What the college says
Core Maths is a brand new Level 3 qualification in Quantitative Problem Solving (QPS) for students with a GCSE grade C and above who want to continue to studying maths but not at AS/A Level. The course has been designed to maintain and develop real-life skills. What you study is not purely theoretical or abstract; it can be applied on a day-to-day basis in work, study or life and the course will include a financial maths element.
What you need to get on
5 GCSEs at grade 4 and above. Each course carries its own individual requirments.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
