What the college says
These qualifications provide the practical and technical skills needed to become a craftsperson, this is college based course which gives you real life hands on experience needed to successful work in the construction industry. During this course you will learn advanced setting out, be able to build solid walls with piers and cavity wall construction using brick and blocks.
What you need to get on
A recognised level 1 construction qualification in the trade area, GCSE grade 4/5 (C) in Maths & English or relevant
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
