This course is for students who want to continue studying Chinese after GCSE. It will suit you if you enjoy languages and want to develop your understanding of Chinese culture and society. It takes time and dedication to become confident in a language so you'll need to be hard working and willing to persevere.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirement for our Sixth Form is an average grade 6 or higher from GCSEs with a minimum of a grade 5 in English and Mathematics. In addition, for subject specific entry requirements we ideally prefer a grade a 7 or above, but you will require a minimum grade of a 6 for the subjects you wish to study.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
