Students will develop the ability to understand and communicate in Mandarin Chinese. The assessment for this two-year course will comprise of four units: Paper 1 Speaking; Paper 2 Listening, Reading and Translation; Paper 3 Writing and Usage; Paper 4 Chinese Culture.

5 GCSEs at grades 9-6 with grade 5 in English language and mathematics, and a grade B or above in Mandarin
