What the college says

This course will equip you with the knowledge, skills and competencies to work with children and young people within the age range of 0 to 11 years. However, this course is not a licence to practice, but a stepping stone to level 3 childcare once GCSE maths and English have been achieved.

What you need to get on

Grade 3 in GCSE English or maths and three GCSEs at grade 3. Plus a satisfactory DBS. Alternatively - Pass grade in a Level 1 qualification

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
