As well as being fundamental in our daily lives Chemistry is a key subject in Science. In different areas it overlaps with Biology and Medicine, with Physics, Geology and Earth Sciences. Emphasis throughout the course is on developing knowledge, competence and confidence in practical skills and problem solving. You will learn how society makes decisions about scientific issues and how sciences contribute to the success of the economy and society. To be a successful Chemist, you will need an inquiring mind, a strong mathematical ability, practical skills and a keen interest in the subject.

Grade 7 in GCSE Chemistry, Grade 8-7 in Combined Science and Grade 6 in Maths and English language

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
