What the college says

The course is suitable but not limited to those who may interact with individuals with mental health issues and support needs in their day-to-day lives, such as customer service, housing, hospitality, travel and tourism, sport and recreation and the voluntary sector. This is online learning, with three compulsory live one-hour video sessions, one to onboard and two in-learning. Prior to enrolment, a member of our teaching staff will contact you to discuss the course and expectations in greater detail. If your application is successful then you will be sent login details to the portal, via email. Following each learning module you will complete an assessment and submit this for marking via the portal.

This course is funded for learners in the York and North Yorkshire area. If you live outside of this area, we recommend contacting your local adult education provider.

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
