What the college says
The purpose of this qualification is to increase your knowledge and awareness of children and young peoples mental health. By completing the qualification, you will develop knowledge of mental health in children and young people which would support progression onto further qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care or education sector. In this qualification, the term children and young people refers to an age range of 5-18 years old.
What you need to get on
To be eligible for funding, you must live in England and have resided in the UK or EU/EEA for the last 3 years, must be aged 19 or over, must not have previously studied the course you are applying for or another similar course and must not currently be enrolled on another government-funded education programme. If you are aged between 19 and 23 - you must hold a full level 2 qualification If you're not eligible for funding, you can purchase the course online if you are over the age of 16.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
