What the college says
This is a new Mathematics Post-16 course that is designed for those who wish to study mathematics beyond GCSE level, but not to A-level standard. This is a two-year Level 3 course that produces a qualification equivalent to an AS-level. It will support those students studying courses that require maths skills, as well as taking a practical look at how maths is used in the real world.
What you need to get on
Five passes in GCSE at grade 4 or above. One of the five passes will include English at grade 4 or higher and GCSE Grade 4 in Maths
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The A-level-equivalent step, and what universities and employers ask for.
