Throughout the course, you’ll gain a solid understanding of the key principles of working with children and young people. It is ideal if you are interested in pursuing a career in childcare, babysitting, teaching, or wider health and social care roles. You will develop an understanding of child development (how children grow and learn), the importance of play in supporting learning, safeguarding and child protection, as well as food, nutrition, and health and safety. You will also build practical skills to support parents and carers, including babysitting and providing quality care. By the end of the course, you will feel more confident in working with children and young people, equipped with the knowledge, skills, and awareness needed to take your first steps into further study or employment in the sector.
