This qualification has been designed to allow progression to the NCFE Cache Technical certificate in Working with Children in Early Years and Primary Settings. What you need to get on

A minimum of two Grade 3 GCSE's, preferably including English. Aged between 16 and 19. A positive school reference with good levels of attendance and punctuality.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
