What the college says
The Level 2 Health and Social Care Study Programme is a vocational qualification, developing knowledge and understanding by applying learning and skills in practical and workplace settings. The course will develop your knowledge of the theories behind the care practice such as human growth and development, safeguarding and protection, mental health and well-being. There is a substantial work placement within a health and social care setting to support learning. You will also study a range of employability skills alongside your Study Programme to ensure that you're ready for the world of work. This qualification provides progression to the Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care. Alternatively, students may wish to enter the workforce in a wide range of roles available within the sector including as an adult residential support worker or a healthcare assistant in community, primary care or acute health environments.
