This course will provide you with the all of the skills that you need for a successful barbering career. You will be working on clients in Salon QG, developing your communcations and customer service skills alongside your specialist ones. The course will include the following units: Skin and hair structure Tools, products and equipment used Consultation process Shampooing and conditioning Cutting mens hair Cutting mens facial hair Drying and finishing mens hair If you are interested in the barbering profession, then this is the course for you. ESOL students will require Level 1 speaking and writing prior to starting the course
What you need to get on
4 x GCSEs at grade 3(D) or above, or Level 1 Subject Qualification In addition: ESOL Level 1 Speaking and Writing must be achieved prior to course start date
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
