What the college says
The Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) is a well-respected and recognised qualification within the accounting profession. It is recognised as a major qualification for Technician level accounting staff. Students who gain their Advanced and Professional Diplomas and who have relevant accounting work experience can apply for membership of the AAT and will normally get exam exemptions from the Chartered Accounting Bodies. Wakefield Evening Course will be carried out using a blended approach which consists of both face to face teaching and self study.
What you need to get on
GCSEs at Grade 9-4, including English and Maths. OR Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths and English.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
