This course is aimed at anyone wishing to start out their accountancy career. You will get high quality work experience in your chosen occupational area, develop your CV with nationally recognised qualifications as well as enjoy a salary and all of the perks of working for a company. The progression opportunities are endless, you may become a qualified Accountant leading a finance department or owning your own business.

What you need to get on

In general you will need to have 4 GCSEs at Grade C or above as a minimum, including maths or relevant experience within an accountancy role. You will need to be interested in working with figures, enjoy problem solving, be prepared to work hard, learn varied tasks and work effectively as part of a team and individually.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
