This qualification is aimed at people considering a career in health and/or social care with adults or working with children and young people. You will study a variety of units over one year including: Provision of roles in Health, Social Care and Childcare Principles and values in Health, Social Care and Childcare Awareness of safeguarding Introduction to communication Awareness of equality and inclusion Awareness of health and safety

What you need to get on

You will need to have achieved 2 GCSEs at grade 2 (E) or above. Once at the college you will have to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service check. It is not possible to complete the course without satisfactory clearance. It is also a requirement that students on this course are independent workers within the placement settings.

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
