Business Studies AS & A2 Level The AS Business Studies course is now a one year standalone AS Level qualification. Marks gained from an AS exam do not contribute to the A Level marks as they did under the previous system. The A2 Level is a 2 year course. What Entry Requirements Do I Need? Four A-Cs at GCSE. The study of GCSE Business Studies is not a pre-requisite. It is expected that any students not achieving GCSE Grade C or above in English or Mathematics will enrol on the re-sit courses available. What Will I Learn On This Course? In AS Business Studies the following aspects are covered: Theme one: Marketing and people Meeting customer needs The market Marketing mix and strategy Managing people Entrepreneurs and leaders Theme two: Managing business activities Raising finance Financial planning Managing finance Resource management External influences
