Students are introduced to business in Themes 1 and 2 through building knowledge of core business concepts and applying them to business context to develop a broad understanding of how businesses work. Breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, with applications to a wider range of contexts and more complex business information, are developed inThemes 3 and 4,requiring students to take a more strategic view of business opportunities and issues. The course is based on the analysis of a variety of different business scenarios,which require - logical and well-reasoned proposals to be recommended. Examination is by data response questions. Students are encouraged to research and use real businesses throughout the course.

APS 4.2. 5 in GCSE Maths, 5 in GCSE English Language or Literature & grade 5 in GCSE Business if studied.
