This Business course will give you an introduction to how the commercial world operates, ranging from small business start-ups to multinational corporations. As well as gaining business knowledge, through real and up-to-date business case studies, you will develop the skills of data interpretation and problem solving that will help you to make sound tactical and strategic decisions in different business environments. Enrolling on the Business course will allow you to develop an understanding of entrepreneurs and leaders, the marketing mix, how firms manage finance and the impact of globalisation. You will develop the skill of evaluating business strategies through regular group work and whole class discussion. There are many enrichments opportunities available to Business students potentially including the MicroLoan Foundations Start Something Challenge, business consultancy projects and the ICAEW’s Business, Accounting and Skills Competition.

What you need to get on

At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5 including English and Maths at grade 4 or above.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
