On successful completion of this one year course, you will have several options to decide from including an apprenticeship, a level 3 course, or employment. We will support with any of the options you decide and help you through the UCAS or application process. Business and Administration is a one year course and is new to the college this year. It is suited to learners who aspire to work as a junior personal assistant, in an office based or customer service environment. It teaches you a range of skills including how to: Work in an administration environment and team work, Writing business documents, Organising business travel and accommodation, Organising meetings and handling diary systems. You will have a presentation from the head of MIS (management information systems), Human resources, Solihull MBC. There will also additional trips to show the importance of administration in organisation
What you need to get on
You will need 3 GCSE's at grade D/5 and a grade 4/C in English or Mathematics or Diploma in Business and Administration Level 1 and functional skills Level 1
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
