A-level Business students will: Develop the knowledge and skills needed to analyse data, think critically about issues and make informed decisions - all skills that are needed for further study and employment. Throughout the course students will communicate and explain ideas, explore and present alternative courses of action, think strategically and make decisions, work with numbers to solve business problems, keep up to date with national and international business news and learn about the world of business through research and investigation.

What you need to get on

The minimum entry requirement for our Sixth Form is an average grade 6 or higher from GCSEs with a minimum of a grade 5 in English and Mathematics. In addition, for subject specific entry requirements we ideally prefer a grade a 7 or above, but you will require a minimum grade of a 6 for the subjects you wish to study. For the subject of Business, you will need a grade 6 in Mathematics and a grade 6 in English.

How you are assessed

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
