Students are introduced to business in Themes 1 and 2 through building knowledge of core business concepts and applying them to business contexts to develop a broad understanding of how businesses work. Breadth and depth of knowledge and understanding, with applications to a wider range of contexts and more complex business information, are developed in Themes 3 and 4, requiring students to take a more strategic view of business opportunities and issues.
What you need to get on
If you have studied a Business related subject at GCSE you must have attained at least a grade 5. A grade 5 in both English or English Literature and Maths is required. A grade 6 in Maths will be advantageous as there are a lot of calculations to complete as you study various elements of accountancy. You must be confident manipulating data. You should have a keen interest in the world of Business and follow news and current affairs closely.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
