For those with a love of performance, the Performing Arts course is designed to develop students specialist and more general skills within the Performing Arts disciplines. Through practical exploration and performance work, students will develop and strengthen essential technical and performance skills. This exciting and varied course is designed to build attributes sought by Universities and has a strong track record of students progressing onto top Performing Arts Schools and universities. Students will develop both their performance skills and transferable skills such as independence, team work, leadership and management, self-discipline, communication and self-confidence. The course is demanding in terms of practice time and extracurricular opportunities. The course is available as a single or double course thus allowing students to specialise.

What you need to get on

Students must achieve a minimum of 6 GSCEs at Grade 4 or above including English Language and Mathematics. At least one GCSE/BTEC Level 2 qualification in a Performing Arts subject at Grade 4 or Merit. Additional experience in Performing Arts either within the Academy, or through an outside agency (such as a dance theatre school) would be desirable.
