The BTEC Diploma in Acting is an exciting practical course which will allow you to experience all aspects of the performing arts with the main focus being on Acting. The course is new to North Chadderton and will be run by specialist performing arts teachers in state of the art facilities. You will learn about the performing arts industry and how to make it in the business. The course is delivered through 11 units over the two years and you are assessed during performances and via a portfolio of evidence, a ratio of 70% practical to 30?/o written work. There are no examinations other than that of performance. There will be a wide range of enrichment opportunities students from local theatre trips to experiences in the west end.

What you need to get on

Preferred A?'- C in GCSE English plus A""- C in GCSE in any of the following, Drama/Performing Arts/Dance/ Music or BTEC Performing Arts.
