Our sport courses include lots of opportunities for you to get hands on experience of the world of work, including:work experience with businesses like Watford FCvaried trips and activities to businesses and events including the Lee Valley White Water Centre and Lee Valley Athletics Centregetting involved in providing fitness training for supported studies studentshaving the opportunity to coach in the local communityYou will access inspirational teaching sessions to help you understand important topics in the industry.You will look at health and wellbeing in sport, fitness skills development, and nutrition for physical performance. You will develop workplace skills and confidence in delivering presentations, academic writing, working with others and problem-solving.You will complete either work-based projects or work experience allowing you to get a real insight into the industry.You will work with employers including Pure Gym and the Rugby Football Union community coach and you will go on several off-site visits including sports labs at universities and the Olympic Park.
What you need to get on
Four GCSEs at grade C or above including maths and English; or,Four GSCEs at grade C or above, plus functional skills level 2 maths and English; or,A level 2 qualification in a relevant subject area, passed with a Merit or Distinction grade - plus maths and English.
