What the college says

Are you a logical thinker and problem solver? Our course in Software Engineering & Development will equip you with the skills you need to design, develop, and implement the systems that we use day in and day out. You will explore different programming languages, including those used to develop the applications and web pages you use every day. You’ll learn how to think outside the box, create bug-free software that can be maintained for years, and gain the knowledge and skills to become a software developer, gain an apprenticeship, or go on to further study. Our course is project-based, so you will have plenty of opportunities to put your new skills to the test. You’ll work on live projects set by local employers, gaining industry experience as you go. You’ll also work on a range of projects that cover everything from e-Learning applications to interactive websites and business applications of social media. We offer work experience placements, employer talks, commercial and vocational projects, which will help you make a lasting impression on potential employers and can often lead to gaining an apprenticeship.
