The need for secure digital systems is more crucial than ever before, as we rely on computerised systems and networks to collect, process, store and transfer vast amounts of data and to control critical systems in a local area network, globally and in the cloud. The Extended Diploma in IT course gives you the opportunity to learn about programming and creative design. To develop skills in the ethical use of computers and networking, technical support, enterprise skills and computer systems. An “all round” perspective is delivered allowing you to focus and harness your own potential to lead onto a higher education programme or the beginning of a successful career.

What you need to get on

You will need 4 GCSEs (or vocational equivalents) at Grade 4 or higher, including at least 1 of either Maths or English. We will request a school or college report to demonstrate your good attendance and engagement. Progressing students require good attendance & engagement within English and Maths lessons. If you have not achieved a 4 (C) grade or above in English or maths, you will as part of your course be required to work towards this as part of your study programme.
