In Drama you will conduct both explorative and performance work exploring a broad range of themes. You will be using script and other stimuli to create original drama individually and within a group setting. Drama as a subject is defined as ‘the curiosity led exploration of what it is to be human’. In this course you will need to be self-motivated, creative and deeply analytical. We will explore the perspectives of human beings from all parts of society and across the world, learn how to argue and persuade and most importantly understand how to empathise and express emotion.

What you need to get on

You will require a minimum of 5 GCSE's at grades 4-9 including English and Maths. It is not necessary to have studied Drama at level 2, although this would be beneficial. There is a heavy practical component in this course. As such students are fully expected to engage in all practical elements, especially performing in front of an audience.
