Making Drama and experiencing Theatre is part of being human. It spans our histories and cultures and is a vital and treasured part of our lives. Through creative exploration in Drama and Theatre, aesthetic experiences and the making of shared meanings, we learn to lead passionate and compassionate lives. The course will allow you to build upon your performance skills and give you the opportunity to create theatre in a creative and supportive environment with a strong emphasis on working practically throughout the course. This qualification offers an engaging programme to support students who want to pursue a career in acting and the creative arts. A passion for Drama and Theatre is of the utmost importance as you will be required to rehearse outside of lesson time as well as attending trips to the theatre which will usually take place in the evening. Tailored support will be provided to all students who wish to prepare for drama school and university alongside the opportunity to attend workshops with industry professionals.
