This course prepares students with a mixture of practical and theoretical ICT skills, providing sound preparation for a range of jobs and university courses. The Certificate (AS equivalent) is awarded at the end of Year 12, and the Extended Certificate (A2 equivalent) is awarded at the end of Year 13.

What you need to get on

Students must achieve a grade total of at least 8 in English Language and Mathematics, with no grade less than a 4. Students must achieve a grade 5 in subjects they want to continue at A Level, except in English Language and Mathematics. An average point score of 4.5 is required. If you wish to study this BTEC along with 2 more BTECs you must meet the BTEC entry requirements and achieve at least a Merit or B in ICT.
