This course provides an attractive alternative to the traditional A Level for students who prefer to have more practical element in engineering. The fundamental philosophy of this course is that, you actively experience the engineering environment including electrical and electronics engineering. Over the two years the course develops a very broad variety of engineering skills and knowledge, involving Engineering Maths, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering principles, 2D & 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD), Product Design, knowledge and applications of engineering materials and processes, as well as developing practical and team working skills to create a batch of engineered products safely. You will learn how to transform problematic designs into successful engineering products.

What you need to get on

GCSE English and Maths (at grades 9-4) plus 3 GCSEs at grades 9-4 including a 5 in Design or merit in engineering (if studied)

How you are assessed

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
