What the college says

Science is everywhere — in the medicines we take, the food we eat, and the technology we use every day. The BTEC National Level 3 in Applied Science is a practical, career-focused qualification designed for students who are interested in how science is applied in real-world laboratory, industrial, and medical settings. This qualification develops scientific knowledge and practical laboratory skills across biology, chemistry, and physics. It provides a strong foundation for higher education in science-based subjects or for progression into scientific employment. Assessment is through a combination of coursework, practical investigations, and externally assessed exams, allowing students to demonstrate understanding through applied tasks as well as theoretical knowledge.
