The Level 3 National in Music Performance provides a practical and theoretical exploration of the key skills and methods of music learning in a vocational context. Students will explore ensemble and solo performances, the core principles of music theory and in-depth insight and reflection on their skills and development as a musician. This course provides them an insight into the music industry and what it would be like to be a self-employed musician working within an every-growing and competitive sector.
What you need to get on
5 GCSE's at grades 4-9 including English. It is not essential to have studied Dance at level 2, although this would be beneficial. There is a heavy practical component in this course. As such students are expected to engage in all practical elements, especially performing in front of an audience.

One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
