What the college says
BTEC Applied Psychology is designed to support you to progress on to higher education and employment within the applied psychology sector. This a range of employability skills such as cognitive and problem- solving skills, interpersonal skills and your organisation skills. It is different to studying psychology as an A-level as you will complete internal assessed units (coursework), have the choice to re-sit external examinations and the mathematical element is less.
What you need to get on
A minimum grade 4 in English literature or language, mathematics and science (4-4 from double award). It is beneficial to also have at least one grade 5 from these core subjects.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
