Psychology is the scientific study of mental processes and behaviour. BTEC Applied Psychology works to develop analysis skills looking at case studies and their findings and applying them to everyday life. The course consists of three compulsory modules and one optional unit. The course requires the completion of two exam modules and two modules which are assessed through the assessment of coursework. Compulsory units include: Psychological approaches and application, research methods and health psychology. The additional units look at criminal forensic psychology, promoting childrens psychological development, psychopathology and applied sports psychology.
