Our Level 2 Diploma is designed to equip students with an overall knowledge of Public Services to give you the skills you need to apply, with conviction, your knowledge to any route you choose to take, in any sector of the Public Services industry. You will observe theoretical and practical assessments along with modules including fitness, sports, employment and adventure activities. This qualification won't directly lead you in to a job in the sector but will be a qualification looked on very favourably by potential employers as good preparation. You will study a range of academic and practical subjects as detailed below. -Uniformed Public service Employment -Public Service Skills -Uniformed Public Service Fitness -Adventurous Activities & Teamwork for the Public services -Expedition Skills -Sport & Recreation Maths, English and IT will be an important part of your course. You will continue to develop these skills and may work towards a qualification at an appropriate level.
What you need to get on
- 2 GCSE grades at D/3 or above. - Progression from a level 2 course or above. - You will need to have a suitable reference and undertake a successful interview.
How you are assessed
One subject in depth, assessed largely through coursework and projects.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
