The course is designed for students considering studying a career in childcare as an option in the future and want to know what it is like to work in a childcare setting. It is an introductory course and will allow you to learn about not only the childcare industry, but also about your own skills and qualities. Some of the units covered in this course include; planning safe environments for children, communication skills and supporting children with creative activities through everyday activities.

What you need to get on

Minimum of 4x Grades in total including Maths or English Language at a 3 and a 2 in the other. One additional subject at a grade 3 and another at grade 2.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
