This is a Transition Programme, allowing you to further academic study on T-Level Health or other Level 3 qualifications. You will learn about all aspects of health & social care, including health and social care values, human body systems, and human lifespan development. These qualifications provide a practical, real-world approach to learning alongside a theoretical background, giving learners the knowledge, understanding, and skills they need to prepare for employment or further study. You will study: - Communication in Health and Social Care - Healthy Living - Health Promotion - Human Lifespan Development - Human Body Systems - Social Influences - Health and Social Care Values All level 2 learners also need to complete a two-week block of work placement or voluntary work as part of their programme, which is a mandatory part of the level 2 programme. This will be in a Health and Social Care setting. All sessions involve various activities, including lectures, supported workshops, group and individual research, presentations and role-play. The department also organises multiple team building activities, e.g. bowling, trampolining, and trips to various health and social care settings, including care homes, art therapy sessions and sensory centres. Presentations by the tutor and students will be used to develop communication and other transferable skills. What you need to get on

You will generally need either a: - Four GCSEs at Grades 3-9, including English Language or equivalent qualifications. - Or Level 1 qualification (at Merit or Distinction), and at least a GCSE Grade 3 in English Language, plus a satisfactory tutor reference You will be given an interview to assess your suitability for the programme.
