This course will enable you to learn the skills of bricklaying which have been passed down through the centuries and will be suitable for you if youre looking for a career in bricklaying within the construction industry.The course covers a wide range of practical skills and an underpinning knowledge of the theory of the basics of bricklaying. It also covers Health and Safety and six other units; whilst including a basic knowledge and understanding of the other trades associated with the construction industry.During the course you will also learn how to develop essential character strengths for success, such as confidence, self-belief and ownership.

What you need to get on

Minimum GCSEs grade 2 in mathematics and English are preferred.It is expected that the applicant will have a genuine interest in the construction industry and some experience of bricklaying and each applicant will be required to attend an interview to ascertain his/her suitability for the course .

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
