On this study programme, you will have the opportunity to improve and develop your skills in our workshops. There is the chance to show off your skills and participate in competitions, such as Skill Build, World Skills and other national and local competitions. You will also visit a variety of exhibitions and construction sites, as well as working on community projects outside the college. The study programme will also develop your personal, social and employability skills. You will learn about the trade and find out how you can get a job with the support from the team and local and national employers.

What you need to get on

Three GCSEs at Grade 3 including maths and/or English, or a Level 1 qualification plus maths and/or English at Level 1.

How you are assessed

Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.

What this level means

The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
