What the college says

This is a study programme where you will learn the basic practical aspects of Bricklaying in our workshops, with the opportunity to progress onto higher levels of study. You can test your skills against others at exhibitions and competitions, such as the Suffolk Show, while also having the chance to gain a greater understanding of working life by getting involved with a selection of community projects. The course will also develop your personal, social and employability skills. You will learn about the trade and find out what you need to get a job by attending different exhibitions and attending a range of talks by local and national employers.

What you need to get on

Two GCSEs at Grade 1 including maths and/or English, or demonstrate the ability to work towards Level 1 in maths and English in an assessment.

How you are assessed

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.

A first step that builds towards Level 2.
