If you're interested in a career with lots of variety that allows you to work on a range of projects, then bricklaying could be the one for you! According to Goconstruct.org the construction industry is growing fast, with over 16,000 new jobs expected to be created in Yorkshire and Humberside over the next 5 years. As a bricklayer you can be part of this industry. You will learn to build everything from walls and decorative stonework to full buildings. You could also work on restoration projects, refurbishing brickwork and masonry. To become a bricklayer, you will need to be able to read plans and work in an organised way. If you enjoy doing practical things and you are interested in construction, this could be the perfect course for you. What you need to get on

Two GCSEs at grade A* to E Plus English grade 2 or above OR successful interview with an initial assessment in English and maths at Entry Level 3 or above. Successful interview with an initial assessment in English and maths at Entry Level 3 or above

Entry level and Level 1 study, English and maths retakes, and supported programmes.
