What the college says
Bricklayers are essential to the construction of buildings�from homes and schools to bridges and commercial spaces. This hands-on course will teach you how to read construction drawings, build solid walls and piers, and understand the vital health and safety aspects of the job.
What you need to get on
You must have successfully completed the Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying. You�ll also need GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C/4 or above, or an equivalent qualification.
How you are assessed
Learning a trade with tools and equipment, often in a college workshop or salon.
What this level means
The GCSE-equivalent step, and the usual route into Level 3.
