An A-Level Biology student must have a genuine interest in the study of life and living organisms, and in taking a practical approach to learning. The course enthuses students in the study of both theoretical and practical Biology. During the course, students develop practical skills which in turn help them in their ability to analyse and evaluate scientific information. The course encourages the development of the understanding of biological concepts and key principles, whilst never losing sight of the way in which ‘real’ biologists work and the contributions they make to society.
