Biology is a demanding but incredibly rewarding subject when studied at A level. There are also many opportunities to perfect practical skills. As one of the more versatile A- level subjects, Biology can open the doors to many degree courses and careers eg. Biological Science, Biochemistry, Genetics, Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy. Biologist are sought after in a wide range of health care professions and in management, as well as law and journalism, due to the subject's emphasis on analysis and evaluation.

What you need to get on

5 GCSE Grade 4-9, inc GCSE Grade 6 in Biology or Combined Trilogy and GCSE Maths Grade 5.

Academic subjects, mostly exams, three or four at once. The traditional route to university.
