Biology is the study of living organisms, which includes their structure (gross and microscopic), function, origin and evolution, classification, interrelationships and distribution. Your ability to plan and use laboratory apparatus to collect data is developed during practical activities as well as its subsequent analysis and interpretation. What you will do: • Acquire an understanding of biological principles and how science works • Develop laboratory based skills • Improve your ability to interpret data and formulate balanced answers based on evidence • Visit and study diverse ecologically sites locally. Future prospects: • Biologist • Biochemist • Biophysicist • Nursing • Pharmaceutical/Medical/Industrial research • Medicine (combined with Chemistry/Maths/Physics at 'A' Level).
